Wayne Hall and his fiancee own and operate Medical Services (North East) Limited, providing numerous training courses such as First Aid at Work (hse), Child Care First Aid, Fire Safety servicing, risk assessments and training, Occupational Health services and also operate a Private Ambulance Service.
The company was established just over 5 years ago and over the past 18 months has achieved considerable success. In April 2006 they took over the Private Ambulance company and are now the largest/busiest Private Ambulance Service in the north east completing more than 5,500 patient transfers during 2006.
The BUPA Hospital at Washington have won a contract from the government to treat 15,000 NHS patients from our region at their facilities over the next 12 months and the Aycliffe Company are to provide the Ambulance transport for this.
They are approved by the British Ambulance Association, have the Investor In People award and are approved by the Health and Safety Executive for First Aid training. During 2006 all staff completed NCFE level 2 in Infection Control, and so far this year they have completed NCFE level 2 certificate in Equality and Diversity and are just about to begin a level 3 certificate in Palliative Care.
